Integrating tickets with mailing list

Here's an idea discussed on the IrcChannel earlier:

  • if you create a ticket, it should be posted to the main mailing list.
  • If someone follows up that email post to the list, the response-email should be added as a comment to the ticket in the trac-database.
  • Similarly, if a comment is added through the web interface, it should also be posted as a followup on the list.

It should be implemented as a small filter script added to the mail server.

This is a very cool idea, IMHO.
