problem sorting custom query results

when doing a custom query without a query criteria, sorting the results doesnt work

steps to reproduce:

  1. click in View Tickets
  2. click on Custom Query
  3. click on Search (without selecting a criteria)
  4. click on any header on the results page (e.g. Summary)

the results doesnt get sorted as expected. you get back to the custom query page.
