Description

When using mysql and choosing default_charset to be utf-8 at trac.ini file, then the collation of the ticket_change.oldvalue and ticket_change.newvalue are not utf8_bin. This results to cannot post comments on tickets.

The [trac] default_charset has nothing to do with database encoding or collation. It is used to select a source encoding when displaying files (source, attachments) and no encoding is specified.

The collation on MySQL has to be set when creating the database, see MySqlDb.

This is an InstallationIssue, please use the MailingList and / or IrcChannel if you need help.

Modify Ticket

Change Properties
Set your email in Preferences
Action
as closed The ticket will remain with no owner.
The resolution will be deleted. Next status will be 'reopened'.
to The owner will be changed from (none) to the specified user.

Add Comment


E-mail address and name can be saved in the Preferences .
